Nishinari: X-san’s Salvation Testimony!

-Acts 4: 10-12 NIV-
“then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. Jesus is
“‘the stone you builders rejected,
    which has become the cornerstone.”
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

After ministering in Nishinari for the past two years and by God’s grace alone, I’ve been blessed by Jesus to witness many salvations; so many that it has become a very regular thing!
Recently, another person gave his life to Christ! His name is X-san, a man living in Nishinari, who this past month gave his life to Jesus Christ! Amen! I met X-san back in 2022, in the first month I came to Japan, at a dollar store actually. X-san walked up to me and asked me where I was from. I started talking with him a bit, and he began tearing up suddenly. He asked if he could hug me and I embraced him warmly… he cried on my shoulder for a long time then, and I could tell he was struggling. I told him as he was hugging me, “Jesus loves you, He is for you, please don’t give up.”

I’ve seen X-san at least 6 or 7 times in the past two years. Every time he saw me or I saw him in the street we would stop and talk. During those moments, and I would always minister to him and tell him about the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Finally, 2 years later, just 2 weeks ago, X-san ran out of a pub in Nishinari saying, “sister, sister” calling me. I talked with him again, and asked him about how he was doing lately. He excitedly told me that he finally believed in Jesus and that he gave his life to Christ within this past month! Although he is attending a Catholic church at the moment, I believe that he has a real connection with God now, and finally believes the truth of His Word! I am overjoyed at X-san’s public witness and testimony! I give all the glory to God for changing and softening his heart. He told me that he loves going to church and that he attends regularly; and I believe that God has also given Him a heart that loves to pray. There was something different about his spirit this time, and he seemed more joyful than ever before! Truly, I give glory to God for his conversion, and let’s pray together that he continues growing in the Lord and stays the course with strength and power!
Thank you for reading and sharing in the Good News of this mission in Japan! God bless you!
