For those of you who may remember, Usami-san is a Japanese, Nishinari man who gave His life to Christ late last year! (If you have not yet been introduced to him, please read about his Salvation testimony here : )

I ran into Usami-san again yesterday and he was so full of life and is still on fire for the Lord! As we caught up, we talked about life and he shared a recent prayer testimony he had with me! I will share this story with you today:

Usami said that he had a huge bed bug and cockroach infestation in his room that was so bad that he even found their nests! They were in his bed, on the floor and all over his ceiling too! Usami said that he tried to do everything he could in the physical. Besides general cleaning and removal, he bought 5 cans of insect repellant spray and found himself having to keep going back to buy more; which was getting quite costly for him! He said that eventually he couldn’t afford to keep buying the bug sprays and that on his own, he couldn’t make the problem go away.
Then he said, “I thought, if I can’t then God can!” So he prayed to God that the bug infestation would be gone and all of a sudden, out of nowhere, he didn’t see a single one anymore. He said the bugs fled so quickly, that he knew that it was God! He said that he knew for a fact that God was the one who helped him and performed this miracle for him; to make the infestation go away completely! He said that there was no other way to explain it since he had tried all other earthly means and he gave all the glory to God! We celebrated how there is victory in Jesus, the power of God’s grace and rejoiced together at God’s goodness; how He hears our prayers and knows our every need.

“for your Father knows what you need before you ask him”

I praise God for Usami and that he is a faithful Christian now who is seeing the hand of God at work in his life- what an immense blessing!

Let’s continue to keep Usami in our prayers and give glory to God for his continued testimony! Praise The Lord!
