Church in Japan with New Nishinari Friends!

Greetings Friends and Family in the faith! Today was a special day for the Kingdom of God as I had the privilege of joining a new church today through a recommendation of a fellow Japanese co-laborer in the faith. I was sent to visit a new church and was met by a sister in the faith and a Nishinari man who recently transitioned from being homeless on the streets of Nishinari to being housed and also attending Church for the first time, by the grace of God! Sister Toshiko-san greeted me with such joy as I attended her church and I made new connections in the faith here today. It was a blessed time of prayer, worship and fellowship with a new Japanese church and new family in the faith. This church congregation was 50% Japanese and 50% Korean; and although we all had a different mother tongue, we were all able to communicate in Japanese and together realized that we all have the same heart and same spirit for Japan and those around us. It was a blessing to experience this type of cross-cultural church and we also had communion this Sunday morning (please see the pictures below). This church also has a Thursday weekday service which I will be attending from now on! It is a blessed church with people whose hearts are for those in Nishinari! We each shared about our experiences with those in Nishinari, how we can best help the people there, and different strategies to be of the most use to those in that area. I truly believe that this was a divine appointment and look forward to continually supporting this church and getting to know the congregation here. God bless those who have a heart for Japan and those who God has sent to Japan to share the gospel of Jesus Christ!
God bless Japan!

    • Absolutely not! I am still an active member at my current church in Japan! They are my home church and I serve them gladly! My pastor introduced me to this church as they have a weekday Thursday service that I was looking to attend and they also have the capabilities to offer me Missionary Visa sponsorship- so I am forming new relations with this wonderful church as well as attending my usual church’s events and Sunday service as usual : ) Thank you for your question! Many people were also wondering!
