Amazing Miracle Moment: This man, Katsuharu-San, is a man from Nishinari that was living on the streets homeless, hungry and without a Savior 3 years ago. Now, he is saved, goes to the church in Nishinari and serves diligently each week doing outreach to those that used to be in his exact desperate situation before getting saved! He not only has a passion for local out reach, but is involved with multiple churches and attends a weekly home church too!
I met this man (for what I thought was the first time) at our weekly Wednesday church in Nishinari. However, at a recent church event, he opened up to me and told me that he actually remembers me from 3 years ago. He told me that when he was homeless on the streets of Nishinari, that I came over to him while he was sitting on the ground during the day one day and gave him a care package with an onigiri and an origami Bible tract in it. He said that he loved the origami Bible tract so much and that it made such an impact on him, that he has actually kept it until this day.
I am BLOWN AWAY at how just one care package; one tract; one conversation; just one touch of God, leads people to His goodness and ultimately, unto salvation. I couldn’t have been more shocked and can do nothing but just praise and glorify God that the seed that was sown then, has now borne fruit in His life and now He is not only saved, but also a dedicated church member and doing weekly outreach to the exact same people that were in his situation before he came to know Christ. He has become a passionate Christian and I praise God that this ministry was allowed to play one small part in his salvation story!
I praise God for using this small ministry to do big works here in Japan and I praise God for His overflowing mercy, grace and goodness towards all of us at all times! Thank you Jesus for saving Katsuharu-San and also allowing us to fellowship in a new way from this moment forward: as family in Christ!
Let’s pray that many more people in Nishinari would be impacted by this Onigiri/Origami Bible tract way of serving that my ministry does and be saved!
