Hey world! Do you know what today is?! This is the day that the Lord has made! So rejoice! Be glad in it! What a gift each new day is. Here’s some scripture to start your day out right:

Lamentations 3: 22-23 (NIV)

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.”

What a wonderful thing to wake up to. Knowing full well that God’s love and compassion for us isn’t related to how many times we mess up or fall short. He has new compassion for us every day! We are not consumed by sin and can now live a life of freedom because of who He is and what He has done for us. I want to encourage you all to love more in your relationship with God today. You might be wondering; how do we show God love?

John 14:23 (NIV)

“Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”

So to show God love is to keep His commandments. I’m not specifically talking about the Ten Commandments either. I’m talking about whatever God is calling you to do, to listen and to do it. God’s way is perfect, not just for your own lives but the lives of other’s as’well. God has given us everything: in this life and the next to come; all He asks is that we keep His commandments.

Today and forever, let’s all strive to love more like Jesus did; Giving grace to people. Forgiving someone who has done wrong to you. Having compassion towards one another. Being faithful.

Let’s all strive to show God more love too; by spending time with Him in prayer and His word, and by listening to Him, always keeping Him in our minds and hearts, listening to His will for our lives and for every moment.

John 14:15 (NIV)

“If you love me, keep my commandments.”

Do you really love Jesus? If so, then keep His commandments. He will give you the strength to do them.
