With a grateful, humble heart and a heavenward vision, I am so excited to announce that the funds necessary to minister in Japan regarding visa renewal, have been fully provided for by the grace of God! Together, we hit the mark, and we are able to do more for those in Japan this year than ever before! What an huge blessing! Thank you Jesus!
The ministry continues at full force, with the planting of our home church into a temporary building that happened back in December, and a forward looking goal of being able to purchase a building for the church space with apartments. In order to have a permanent space to hold our church and to create a safe house for individuals facing immediate danger or threat, (primarily victims of domestic violence, loss and human trafficking, along with their children), our vision continues to grow and expand as the ministry does. The plan for these apartments will be to provide a secret and secure place connected to the church, that is designed to provide temporary shelter, protection, and refuge to those in need in Nishinari. Additionally, these apartments can serve as host apartment for when missionaries come to serve with us as well!
It has always been a goal of this ministry to grow the spiritual church of Christ (the people) and to provide a place for worship where people can connect with God and His presence in a land where churches are a scarce.
We are excited for what the Lord is doing here in Japan and as the ministry grows and partners with other mission agencies, such as They Need The Bible, the vision is also expanding greatly! We saw the need for a safe house due to meet the recent needs that we have encountered, for those who have experienced danger or loss. My partner in the mission was using his own apartment to take in people, however, to expand the mission, we see the need to create a formal safe house that can operate efficiently and maximize the effectiveness of our efforts, at the same time, reaching and impacting the most amount of people, as the need is continually rising. As these apartments will be connected to the church, this is a great way for our ministry and vision to expand as the Lord leads!
As I seek out the permanent building that the Lord would have for us to put our church and safe house in, please keep us in prayer so that we may be able to completely and fully fulfill the will and instructions of our Lord Jesus Christ! As the nature of the name of this ministry denotes, we are always keeping a Lifted Vision, upwards to our Heavenly Father, being careful to obey all of His commandments and in faith (which is not passive), believing that He has even bigger and greater revival in store for Nishinari than we could ever ask, dream, think or imagine! Through persistent prayer, unashamed faith and joyful hope, all things are possible through Jesus Christ!
