Jesus, art, children’s games and ramen?! I’m in!!!
I recently had the extreme privilege of visiting a church that has been so very instrumental for not only my life in Japan but also my work in Nishinari – Hope Chapel of Nara! On a sunny Saturday, while the weather was still warm, we congregated outside the church and had true fellowship and fun! During this event, a local ramen shop catered the event, and together we ate, played games, and fellowshipped together! Reading the Bible together, answering questions, praying for each other, and having fun all at the same time was a supreme joy! Many Christians as well as non-Christians attended and it was a glorious testament to God’s grace and love, all for His ultimate glory! A big thank you for Pastor Yasutaka for holding this event to bring together people from all walks of life into the house of God and into His presence! Please enjoy the videos below of the ramen being made, a graffiti art demonstration by Pastor Yasutaka himself, and an impromptu Bible study that we shared together.

The ramen was delicious and extremely affordable so that anyone could partake (less than $2 USD for an entire bowl!)

I am so grateful to God for this church and the pastors, missionaries and Christians here all working together to reach Japan for Christ!
Thank you so much for reading and have a blessed day!
