-Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV-
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
This verse in Hebrews completely encapsulates an important sentiment that Paul was ushering Believers to remains steadfast in. If we are to remain faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ, we must not forget to do the little things for one another such as exhorting, meeting together, and to be ambitious in taking action towards loving one another, doing good deeds for them, and to motivate others in their walk with Christ; all the more as we recognize that our time on this Earth is immensely short; just like a vapor (James 4:14).
The beautiful family from a partner church in NYC that came to see me was the exact picture of this love in action that Paul was reminding us to never forget! It was an immense joy and such a privilege to meet with this inspirational and God-fearing family! We fellowshipped and shared life, vision and how God is working in Japan, America and in China while communing over a delicious Japanese meal. Their love, presence and heart for Japan was truly such an encouragement and I was so blessed to be able to have good, Christian conversation right here in Japan!
This verse, shared by Jess, was a verse that came to her from God in the midst of praying for me and my ministry in Japan. I was so incredibly blessed for this confirmation, as I see everyday that people here are truly being drawn to the light of Christ! Around the world but even more seemingly in dark countries like Japan, the contrast of how Christian people are visibly the walking Light and walking Word of Jesus is so apparent! I pray that the Lord would continue to let our lights shine before all men unto His glory!
I pray that God will continue to bring more visitors and fellow co-laborers to Japan and draw those who can help partner with those of us here, who have a great desire to see every single person come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!
