Lifted Vision Ministry is a mission organization that preaches the gospel in the 10/40 window, and to statistically the most dangerous place in all of Japan, Nishinari, Osaka. Furthermore, in the entire nation of Japan, only 1% are Christians and the population we reach is of the most unreached in all of the world. The impact we desire to have is an evangelism movement of the Holy Spirit, to preach and teach the gospel through the means of community outreach and street ministry to the homeless, poor, disabled, drug addicted and disadvantaged, including food and clothing provision, special evangelism events and an overall vision to eventually build a physical church of God in the center of the Nishinari for the Japanese to attend.
A big part of being a missionary is sharing the vision, raising support and that includes going back to one’s home country to do so. I hope to be able to come home this year to be an encouragement and a blessing to everyone there as well as accomplish the following in this post for Lifted Vision Ministry!
There are several reasons for why it is expedient that I come home this year for the sake of the mission in Japan. These reasons include:
–Support Raising to continue to fund the needs of those here in Japan: the need to support raise additional funds as additional expenses incur each year is desperately needed to keep mission operations running
–Non-Profit Organization Meetings: my desire to finish the process of converting Lifted Vision into an accredited NPO and be tax-exempt for all supporters can only be accomplished while I am physically in America. The process has been started, and I would like the opportunity to complete it!
– Important Health Check Up: due to experiencing health crises for the past few months, I need to receive health care in America. I have experienced a long-standing kidney infection here in Japan and finding effective medical treatment and proper antibiotics in Japan has been extremely difficult
–Wedding: My dear friend whom I served with for over 2 years on the prayer team of my former church and a huge helper and supporter of this mission is getting married and I am a bridesmaid! It would be a blessing to come home to be able to attend and support her, after support raising duties are completed
The funds that I am raising to come home are going to be used for the following: airfare home (the biggest expense), travel needs within America to raise awareness of the mission (bus fares, gas money, plane tickets, etc.), food and provision in an expensive American environment, and to be able to provide for myself for 6 weeks while I am back home.
It’s been one year since I’ve been able to come home to raise support for the mission here in Japan! Now is the time that I believe that God is calling me home once again to America to raise the necessary support, meet with my beloved affiliated churches and continue to foster connections and give reports on the mission work that God has been doing here in Japan!
The cost of the flight to just get to America alone ($1500 USD) is just one facet of the support that needs to be raised. However, since I will be travelling to several states within the U.S. to give my updates, it will cost even more for bus, train, and airfare inside the U.S. as well.
