Today, March 20th, is the first day of Spring, and a national holiday here in Japan! As a national holiday, banks, hospitals and most businesses shut down to celebrate the turn of the season. The reason for this stems from the Buddhist beliefs that two “gods” coexist: one in the east and one in the west. Due to the fact that on the first day of Spring, the sun rises due east and sets due west, it’s a day where day and night are the same length. Due to this, the Japanese believe that these god’s are “equal” for a day and it is something that signifies “balance” in their culture.
However, WE CELEBRATED JESUS WITH OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN JAPAN TODAY and served one another in brotherly love and affection.
Today in Nishinari, my church and I went to the homeless park and shared the gospel with hundreds of men and women. We worshipped, gave out 250 homemade lunch boxes, hundreds of medicine packages, underwear and socks and explicitly shared the Good News using pictures and words of knowledge.
I brought my own personal tracks that were sent from a faithful supporter in America, and as you can see from the photos, it brought one man to tears after reading the Good News. Moments like these are absolutely unforgettable to the Kingdom of God!
God is truly turning the ground of Nishinari unto Jesus alone, and we, being the active hands and feet of Jesus here are seeing the fruit of that each and every day.
Thank you so much for partnering with Lifted Vision Ministry to bring Heaven down to Earth, and to share the gospel with a people who do not yet know His name! God bless you!
