2 Months in America: Fruit and the Faithfulness of God

I had the incredible privilege of returning to America after 2 years of being on the mission field here in Japan! After 11 planes, 2 buses, 3 roadtrips, and over countless trains and subways rides; by the grace of God, He accomplished so very much during my two month furlough in America!!! I’ve truly never seen such love, care and compassion than what was demonstrated through all of the wonderful people that God has put in my life and blessed me to encounter. Without all of you, this mission would not be possible! I’m so grateful and humbled that God would choose a broken vessel like me to get the gospel to Japan- and pray He will continually use me here!
Some main takeaways I learned in America were:

1. The difficult experiences are formative
2. Spiritual needs as well as practical needs are both necessary to be met to be a healthy individual

Here are some of the highlights of what I was up to in America!!!

-Matthew 6: 19-21 NIV-
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

No moth can ever corrupt – your investments for the Kingdom of God in Japan, it’s going to last forever! It’s one of those investments that keeps giving it keeps on giving. And even if you go home to be with the Lord- guess what?- it KEEPS ON GIVING. And yes guess what? You have an eternal investment! You’re partnering with Him!

I want to challenge any of you that feel that the Lord is trying to take you deeper into giving to missions with a Faith Promise. After praying and hearing from the Holy Spirit, I want to challenge all of us to commit for an entire year what we’re going to give God per week to this mission or any mission or good soil that God has laid on your heart, through grace giving. The amount will be different per person and it’s a promise and a partnership between us and God alone: no man can tell you how much to give to missions. What I’ve recognized as a missionary is that American dollars give us an advancement on the mission field, and we don’t have to wait as much when other people are working together with us, being the hands and feet of God together. When God gets involved in our everything, it’s truly incredible what He can do!

Missionary Presentation, Greenville, South Carolina (start at 34:40-56:00)
Song of Victory unto the Lord after all the goodness He has done in America!

Thank you again to everyone for all of your continued love, grace and support for Japan, unto the Glory of God! To Him alone be all the Glory! God Bless you!
