I caught up with Katsuharu-San again recently at a park outreach event in Nishinari and let me just say, he is doing wonderfully well by the grace of God! With hope and spark in his countenance, he is still passionately on fire for the Lord with a true heart for evangelism! As we were doing the evangelism event, he took me to a second nearby park and told me the exciting news that this particular park (next to a drug house) is being fully renovated as the city plans to completely reconstruct and remodel it into a new and beautiful space!
Katsuharu-San told me that it is because of our prayer, the outreaches, evangelisms, and Bible study taking place in this vicinity that God’s blessing’s has rested upon it and that God is truly turning this atmosphere around into a heaven-like place for His glory!
He said God is redeeming Nishinari, one place at a time, and this park, known for frequent drug use, as it is stationed outside of a well-known drug den, is being rectified for God’s influence! This was incredible news and we celebrated this together! (please see the park’s future design plans in the photo below).
Additionally, just underneath the well known drug house, a new Christian organization with a heart for community outreach and evangelism has just been established across the street from the park! Katsuharu-San told me that they give out food to the homeless and do street ministry as well!
These are just some of the ways that God is moving in Nishinari and how your love, support and prayers are making a significant impact and making all the difference here! God is truly turning the land of Nishinari into His place for His people!
