Hello friends and family in the faith!
Today I’d like to share about the abundance of Japanese/Korean churches located in Japan! Since living here, I have had the opportunity to visit many churches, and have come across many Korean Pastors holding Japanese services, or just the opposite, Japanese Pastors holding Korean services!
These services are extremely special, as the Korean missionaries have come solely to speak to the Japanese and share the good news of the gospel, and at the same time, Japanese Pastors are also burdened for the Koreans that live in Japan too, building churches and holding services just for them!
I have met missionary pastors who have come from South Korea on a vision and with an alike heart for the lost in Japan! They speak Japanese and plant churches here in order to hold services in both Japanese and Korean. Similarly, Japanese Pastors also fluent in Korean build churches with visions to minister to Korean believers! It is such a marvelous and God wonder-working miracle how these pastors have learned the language of their neighboring country with the sole purpose to minister to them. This fact alone touches my heart and shows the magnitude of God’s love and heart for all people to hear His Word!
Recently, I also visited a very Spirit-filled church where there was Korean and Japanese worship at the same time! It was beautiful to see the synergy of Japanese and Korean people of God worshipping the Lord in their mother tongue in unison! I truly believe that this was a picture of Heaven here on Earth: all of God’s people worshipping Him together!
-Revelation 7:9-10 NIV-
“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
This was truly a book of “Revelation” moment the Lord allowed me to see and experience! It just goes to show that our God has a heart for the Japanese so much that He would even sends the neighboring country’s people to come and minister to them. The history between Japan and Korea has been nothing short of rocky in the past, however, to see them have genuine hearts for each other by the Love of Christ, also highlighted the fact that forgiveness and love are paramount if we are to be true worshippers of God.
-John 13:35 ESV-
“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

*Let’s continue to pray for all existing churches in Japan! That they would be strengthened and continue their labor of love for the Lord and for their brothers and sisters in Christ! Amen!*
