Local Park Outreach is truly the heart of this ministry and something so special and so transformative, it is only by the power of God there is always so much good news to report!
Every week in the local park, there is a church ministry I partner with where we evangelize, spread Jesus’ Word and just love on the Japanese people of Nishinari that are affected by homelessness and drug addiction. Today, we ministered to over 30 Japanese, shared the gospel and encouraged all who were there! It’s a time where Japanese Christians as well as other local missionaries play worship music, distribute Bibles (as well as other Biblical texts) share the Good News, pray for the homeless and where we just spend time together, forming relationships and caring for them.
I had the immense privilege to attend this week and brought some shortbread cookies that were donated to the ministry! As we distributed the cookies, it opened up doors for conversations about Jesus! You would think, “it’s only a cookie,” but really it is so much more than that- it is a light, an open door and a blessing. It’s a true testament that God can and will use anything to reach His people! Japanese men and women continued to come back again and again for more cookies; each time, asking more questions about what we were doing and who Jesus is.
My heart was so encouraged to also see so many Japanese Christians who have been saved in the past three years in attendance too! Now saved and hearts ablaze for Jesus, they are ministering to their “yet saved” brothers and sisters in such a bold way! In the photo of us below, every single Japanese person in that photo has given their life to Christ! They are now brothers and sisters! To see Japanese people get saved, and then have a heart to minister to other Japanese people who are still lost is a surreal and profound manifestation of Jesus’ presence. I give all the glory to God for the work that was done here and the hearts that were touched and ministered to.
Each time I go to the park, I meet new people, see their progress in the Lord, encourage them, and see them get saved. It is only by the power of Jesus that all of this is possible! It’s a blessing to form relationships with these men and women, see them be led to the Lord, and then eventually be able to fellowship with them! We are able to be part of their testimonies and see them grow in the Lord! You are also a part of their testimonies and the great work that the Lord is doing here! I am eternally grateful for every sacrifice of prayer, goods and finances that every single person has given to this ministry to affect this place and truly make an impact for Christ! Lately, there are so many Japanese giving their lives to Christ! Hallelujah!
I want to encourage you today that those who work for the Lord do not work in vain! And there is also no seed to small to plant! Let’s continue making an impact in Japan and continue winning souls and connecting people with the one true God, Jesus Christ! Amen!
-1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV-
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

-Romans 10:13 NIV-
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

God is the God of second chances. When you fall and walk to him, he comes running toward you. Even when you fail, he’s willing to forgive. Even when you’re unfaithful, he remains faithful. As long as you have breath in your lungs, it’s never too late to come back to him.
For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
