For believers in Christ, Peace is our portion! Deep inner peace is something that is given to us by the Holy Spirit and is much more than just a “feeling”. The peace that God lavishly pours out on us is unimaginably different, and once experienced, makes any former knowledge or sense of “peace” that was formerly obtained from the world, frankly… dispensable, useless and counterfeit. True peace, inner wellness and good cheer is our lifetime reality in Christ! I want to encourage you today to trust and know that the God of Peace is available to us at all times!

-John 16:33 KJV-
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.“

No matter what may come, God’s peace is never withdrawn from us and never runs out. God’s peace is only a prayer away and we as believers, have the incredibly privilege to not only be a storehouse of the peace of God, but we get the innate ability and honor to share the peace of God with others as well!

“Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. ”

As we walk in peace with God, we should also strive to be at peace with all people as well- this is our true calling. We are now able, through the activation of our faith in God, to create an atmosphere of peace not only for our own lives! The peace that God gives us is a gift that is meant to be given to others too! We have been given the incredible ability to make peace with others and we should constantly be seeking the Lord for ways and strategies on how to be a blessing to others!

“Blessed are the peacemakers,
    for they will be called children of God.”

Let me end with drawing your attention to this gem- the greatest commandment found in the entire Bible, straight from Jesus Himself!!!

-Matthew 22: 36-40 NIV-
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
