Lifted Vision Ministry

With 6 days until my visa appointment with the calligraphy school, I was looking at the time, looking at the date, looking at the numbers, and looking to God for a solution. I really wanted to pray earnestly regarding God’s direction, God’s leading and God’s plan over my life and this ministry – so I called a friend and decided to pray.

-Matthew 18:20 NKJV-
“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

With seemingly not enough finances and running out of time, I sought the Lord in prayer with a friend, and we prayed about His will over everything regarding His desire for this mission here in Japan.

And barely two hours later, God answered my prayer of what to do and where to go in a very tangible way. Just two hours after praying for the Lord’s will, a package from Seattle, Washington was delivered to and left right outside my door step. Although clearly shipped to me and with my name on it, I didn’t recognize the sender’s address and there was no other denoting information or even name on it except for a single letter “A.” Not knowing who it was from or what it was, I opened the package and to my surprise, I found a beautiful calligraphy set inside!

I was absolutely SHOCKED to say the least. I contacted the school to see if they sent the supplies, to which they told me, they did not. Realizing this miracle sign from God, I was crying and thanking God for sending this package that held such a spiritual significance, which meant so much to me. It was a confirmation for me that He indeed, certainly and truly intended for me to study at the calligraphy school and continue the sacrifice of mission work that I gave my life for here in Japan. I was praising and thanking God for not delaying in His answer to me and also for His very practical and tangible instructions to follow through with the Cultural Visa. So much peace followed and I was perplexed at the creativity of God in answering my prayer.
Oh but wait…there’s more!
God didn’t stop there.

Then, within 24 hours of receiving the calligraphy set from “A” (stands for an Angel perhaps!!!) and after praying with my friend and seeking God’s will, I received a $1,000 love offering to go towards my Visa, which brought the funds for the Visa to the EXACT number necessary to file
(plus an extra $4).
Talk about God’s faithfulness!!!

To see not only the calligraphy set sent to me but also to see the exact amount needed to pay for the Cultural Visa just 5 days before the deadline, I was reminded yet again of how nothing can stop God’s plan and divine will over our lives.

In a mere matter of 24 hours after praying, God turned everything around and provided exactly everything that I needed to be able to obtain the Visa to stay in Japan and to be able to continue to minister through Lifted Vision Ministry (and then some: a beautiful set of calligraphy tools and a $4 surplus that can be used to cover my train fare to immigration to file the Visa)!

I wanted to share this testimony today to encourage the body of Christ, in three things.

1. God answers prayer. Just when we feel like something is nearly impossible, just when we start to question, “did I really hear God correctly?” and just when time seems to be running out – God always answers our prayers in His perfect way and timing!

2. God keeps His promises. It is because of God’s great love for us that we do not need to fear or be afraid of what the future may hold for us! If God spoke something to you, gave you direction, or promised something to you in His Word -take heart! He meant every word! God always comes through for us and delivers on His promises!

3. God is faithful and can be trusted. I was yet again reminded of the faithfulness of God through your love offerings and how God is someone who can be trusted to provide for your needs. In giving to this ministry, you are not only merely supporting the cause of Christ, but also saving lives for the Kingdom of God. God didn’t give up on the Japanese here and neither did you. I am eternally grateful to every praying, giving and loving brother and sister in Christ! God is truly reflected through each and every one of you!

“Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.”

We can rejoice in the Lord our God, knowing that He keeps His promises, He alone is leading us, and He alone is faithful!!! Be encouraged today and God bless you friends of God!
