I have a big life update to share with all my friends and family of the faith! : ) As some of you may know, after graduating from Japanese Language school in September, I immediately transitioned to a working visa! I got a secular job in Japan to be able to stay in Japan, and therefore have been working full-time as an English teacher at a Language School since October for visa purposes. Being a full-time missionary is and always will be my vocation and I have not stopped doing mission work in the least! However, in addition to the ministry, I have also been working a rather time-consuming, corporate job in Japan for 11 hours a day, 5 days a week (making only $8/hour); all in order to stay and minister to the people that the Lord has called me to in Japan.
Therefore, I’ve sustained working two full time jobs and a part time job for the past 3 months, but this is catching up to me and proving inconducive to the furthering of the ministry. I work so hard at the secular job for almost nothing, and with my time being monopolized there (averaging 50+ hours a week), it has taken away from my ability to update the supporters of this mission as frequently and as well as I always do. This schedule is becoming extremely difficult to manage and I realize that I need to make a change in order to stay healthy, be able to minister effectively for many years to come, and for the overall longevity of the ministry.βIt is my greatest desire to be able to fully concentrate on the work on the Lord here, without any distractions or barriers.
*That is why, currently, I am experiencing some needs in the area of my visa right now. *
Through much prayer and many tears, the Lord has provided a new open door for my life and His ministry in Japan. My plan, through God’s will, is to transition to a Cultural Visa, and study Japanese calligraphy instead of working the corporate position. This way, to keep my visa, a 50+ hour a week commitment will turn into only being a 2 hour a day commitment, and allow me to fully concentrate on the ministry without any time constraints or barriers! (I can still keep my part time job as well on this visa!) As an extension of Japanese Language School, with this new visa, I can study the Japanese reading and writing in a more in depth way through calligraphy, while obtaining a visa to be able to live and minister in Japan for years to come. Not only does it help the ministry in terms of time management, but it also allows me another opportunity to learn the Japanese language which will also only aid the ministry and my ability to communicate with others!
*The tuition and visa processing fees to switch to this new visa is a total of $3,000. In all reality, I am still $2,000 short due to hefty visa processing fees. Therefore, I am raising $2,000 for help with my visa processing fees so that I am able to stay in Japan and minister for many, many years to come! *
I humbly ask: Would you partner with me if you feel a burden, to see Lifted Vision Ministry continue to minister in Japan, continue to share the gospel and eventually plant a church in the desolate area of Nishinari?
Thank you so much for supporting this mission!
