Sex for Sale in Japan * VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED*

In Japan, everywhere you look sex is for sale, and truth be told, it’s not as hidden or as underground as one would think. I walked in a second-hand store this week, just two blocks away from my home, and to my utter shock and surprise, right in the back of the shop, a plastic sex doll was set up on a bed with lights all surrounding it (*see the picture below/ Viewer Discretion is ADVISED*). Clear as day, one could see this room in the back of the shop, that was not concealed with a curtain or hidden in the least…and who knows what goes on in there- I was too afraid to inquire.
Unfortunately, in Nishinari, these shops are many. On every single block in this slum, sex is for sale. Whether it’s in the Red Light District, or in the back of your everyday market shop, it’s easily accessible and cheaper than most things here. For the people of Nishinari, this is a common occurrence, but for a Christian, it’s pretty surprising to say the least. What I felt inside the shop and in most buildings in Nishinari, is a territorial demonic presence. This presence is one of deep despair and a taunting spirit. Overall, prayer and fasting is the only act that can get rid of such a welcome and invited presence. As we are one family in Christ, I beseech you to please pray with me regarding this matter. Despite what one may first think, the Christian’s prayer is the most powerful asset that we have in our lives.
“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” (John 14:13-14)

My second urging for us as the body of Christ on behalf of our Japanese brothers and sisters is to pray specifically that the Japanese would themselves turn to God amidst their own depravity.
“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.” (Psalm 107:28-30)

The Lord God has a divine will that all should come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

And it is because of the Lord’s great mercies that we do not perish.
“Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.”
(Lamentations 3:22)

Let’s give glory to God in advance for changing the atmosphere of Nishinari!
God bless you and thank you so much for reading and praying with me!
