Life is Short my Friends; Follow God

Good Morning Friends and Family,

I want to extend this message to those in my audience who do not believe in God yet. I want to let you know that the Kingdom of God has already come near to you! That’s right, Jesus was sent into the world to save all mankind from our sins. Life is hard, but in Jesus, there is hope for us in this present moment.

“As it is written, ‘There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10)
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

I don’t need to spend any amount of time convincing you that we as humans have sinned because we all can agree and understand that no one is perfect. Since we cannot ever be perfect or attain perfection, by default, this concludes, that we all have sinned at one point or another. Everyone has done something in their life that they are not proud of. It’s those things that Jesus came to save us from. You see, when we sin that creates separation between us and God.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
(Romans 6:23)

We all have a sin problem; it’s in our nature. We are only human and this is the human condition. However, Jesus is the solution. God has given us a gift; a new life in Christ with an eternal purpose. Through Jesus, we have a way to close the gap between us and God. That’s why Jesus (who is fully God and fully man) coming to earth and dying on the cross was so important and can never be erased from history. Jesus dying on the cross in our place changed everything for humanity.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

Even though we all deserve punishment, Jesus took that punishment from us by dying on the cross. This is the way the world works. We are unholy; God is holy. We are evil by nature and this does not please God because He is so perfect; He cannot stand to be around evil. We need to fix our human condition, this sin problem, so that we can freely come to God and experience Him and this life in the way that He truly intended. The only way to do this is through Jesus. In fact, Jesus already did everything for us so that we can experience all of God’s goodness in this life and the next. All we have to do is receive this gift of life through Jesus by faith in Him.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

That’s all it takes to live a new life. To be set free. To have peace with God. In order to live the full life that God has in store for you. What you were actually created for! Life truly begins after encountering Jesus face to face!

So what’s holding you back? You’ve heard the truth; now the choice is up to you. God doesn’t force Himself on us. He allows us free will to choose Him or to not choose Him. Why not follow God today? The Bible says that life is short, and we do not know the outcome of tomorrow.

13 Come now [and pay attention to this], you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and carry on our business and make a profit.” 14 Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen in your life tomorrow. [What is secure in your life?] You are merely a vapor [like a puff of smoke or a wisp of steam from a cooking pot] that is visible for a little while and then vanishes [into thin air].
(James 4: 13- 14)

The truth of life is that you were created by God to have a relationship with Him. The only way to speak with God is through His one and only son, Jesus. Pray this prayer with me to encounter the true and living God today:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name. Amen.

If you prayed that prayer with your whole heart, you now have access to the true and living God! All of heaven and earth celebrates with you! Welcome to God’s kingdom! You may be wondering: now what?
