Street Ministry & Serving with KBI (Kansai Bible Institute)

Hello everyone! I am still in Japan and doing the work of the Lord! There are so many things that happen each day, along with so many encounters, events and opportunities to share the gospel! I realized that there is no way I will be able to blog about every good thing that happens! This is what I would call a, “good problem” of sorts! Please keep the prayers coming as the Lord has given me countless divine appointments and is using me at will! Amen!

I would like to share the ministry I did with Kansai Bible Institute last night! I started the day by walking around with Pastor Yasutaka in the area of increased homelessness. We passed out origami tracts and prayed for some homeless men there. It was an amazing experience as some men and women welcomed God’s presence and allowed us to pray for them. We were also able to invite them to church.

Later on, we met up with the friends and students of the Kansai Bible Institute! I had the privilege to join them as they served the homeless in our area. We passed out cookies and tracts and invited the men and women to church. The students also provided hot drinks to the homeless and gave them choices of coffee or tea. It was a blessing to see just how many people were interested in church! Praise God!

Then service started! The church we served at is a Pentecostal Chuch and the lead pastor is Pastor Yumi. She is an amazing woman of God filled with the Spirit! What an amazing, Spirit filled church.

After the students lead worship and taught the congregation worship songs, I was able to speak and share my heart for the people of Nishinari and why I came to this area. It was a blessing to get to know everyone at this church. Actually, I was at this church last Thursday as well and it was a privilege to get to see everyone’s smiling face again! The students performed a wonderful skit and gave a message too! It was a powerful service!

This church is directly across from a huge dirt lot where many homeless people live. The congregation are men and women who don’t have a lot of material things, but man, do they have faith in God!

After service, Pastor Yumi always feeds the congregation and passes out bowls of rice, soup and water along with bibles. Her ministry is truly amazing. I learned so much from her.

We broke off and prayed for the church members and witnessed to them after service. God did a mighty work in the hearts of many last night. The KBI students have huge hearts for God! May God bless them and this church!

Thank you Jesus! More updates to come!
