Hello everyone! I want to give an update of how much money was raised for food for the homeless and hungry day laborers in Osaka, Japan! Let me just say; Thank you so much to everyone who gave a love offering for the homeless population of men and women in the Nishinari Ward, Osaka! This fundraiser has ended and we were able to exceed the $200 goal for a total of $440 raised! This translates to $440 worth of food that will be distributed to the homeless by me while I’m in Japan! Thank you for all of your support for the lost in Osaka! God bless you for your sacrifice for God and others and for serving our international brothers and sisters with me! I will be posting updates while I’m serving in Japan! I leave this September 3rd! Please follow this blog for mission updates!
What the money was raised for: Help Feed Osaka’s hungry
Day Laborer’s stand outside of the welfare building in the slums of Osaka, Japan everyday as soon as the sun is out, in the hopes of finding a job. These men and women are from the country and have left their families to go to the city, hoping to find a job, so that they can provide for and feed their families back home. They are homeless and hungry.
I will go to Osaka and pass out meals to these men and women while I am in Japan.
This money raised will solely go to the cost of food for these day laborers. I plan to pass out around $30 worth of food a day, for 2 weeks. For each item of food, I will attach a homemade tract in Japanese that I have made with a salvation prayer and a chosen scripture on it. I will witness and minister to the needs of this forgotten population of Osaka, because God does not call them forgotten! They are precious in His sight and He knows their needs.
Not only am I grateful for your support, but these men and women will truly get to experience God’s love and provision from your donation. Thank you for your generosity and for investing in the Lord’s work in Japan. This is only a portion of what I will be doing in this mission trip to Japan.
