Good morning brothers and sisters in Christ!
I pray you all are being blessed exceedingly as you follow our Lord, Jesus Christ. Today, I would like to ask you all a simple question. What do you put your trust in the majority of the time? Is it money or your horoscope? The media or maybe even the news? Let me ask you now; Who do you put your trust in the most; more than anything else? Who is it that you rely on? You might say your friends or family. You may trust in a politician or doctor. You might even say that you can only trust or rely on yourself.
Well I am here to tell you today that trusting in God alone is where you will find your strength, your peace, and your prosperity.
In Christ alone!
Jeremiah 17: 7-8 (KJV)
“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”
This scripture proclaims and promises that you will be blessed if you hope in the Lord and trust in Him. You are like a tree that is planted by the water, meaning; you will never lack in anything nessicary for survival and will you be continually increased according to the riches of the Lord! Just like a tree needs water to survive, God is blessing those who trust in him with an abundance of life and spiritual nourishment as big and deep and wide as a river! Notice also how the tree has roots and the scripture says it is rooted by the river. If you are like the tree this means that nothing shall be able to move you from the Lord and your blessings in this life, whether it be difficult circumstances, disappointments, or even negative people. Nothing shall move you; that’s a promise. Your God and your life support is with you always.
Now let’s take a look at what the scripture says about putting our trust in other things besides the Lord.
Psalm 20: 7-8 (KJV) “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.”
Proverbs 11:28 (NIV) “Those who trust in their riches will fall,
but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.”
Psalm 108: 12 (KJV) “(Lord) Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.”
Proverbs 28:26 (KJV) “He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.”
As the scripture says, trusting in the strength of earthly armies and power, riches or money, other people, or even ourselves is not what will bring us joy and fufillment. In fact it says people who do put their trust in earthly things are “brought down and fallen” and “foolish.”
I want to encourage you all today to not delay in trusting in the Lord with all your heart. What have you got to lose? I can testify that lifting up your cares and concerns to the Lord and trusting in Him to provide the perfect outcome, will truly change your life in the most miraculous ways forever.
Psalm 9:10 (NKJV) “And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.”
Psalm 84:12 (NKJV) “O, Lord of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in You!”
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Be blessed ✝💕
