Hello everyone. Praying you all are having a wonderful Friday. God is good all the time; and today He is showing me that all we need is Him. That’s it. There is no substitution, there’s no replication-nothing can satisfy like our God. We can survive without everything else, but without God, there is only death and destruction.
Isaiah 60: 19 (KJV) says,
“The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.”
I realize that this verse is prophetic in relation to how it will be in the Millennial reign, however, I feel like this verse can be applicable to our lives right now in understanding the fact that the only true source of light in our lives is Jesus Christ and our relationship with God the father. We may sometimes seek the light in other places in the world; through jobs, magazines, seminars, and social events, however; God is the only true and everlasting light and His light is the only thing that can sustain us.
I feel this verse could be applied to a person who has just given their life to Jesus Christ and who now finds their absolute joy and peace in Him. Their light is now propelled by the ultimate source of all good things because God provides the real thing. They no longer need the things of this world that might have formerly been deemed nessicary; because they know if they have Jesus Christ then they have everything and lack nothing.
King David proclaims the same truth in Psalm 23:1 (NIV),
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.”
Trust in God for all of your needs and He will provide! Just in knowing God alone, we already have everything we need to be ready for whatever life throws at us. It is the tool above all tools for leading a happy, fufilling and complete life in Christ.
Romans 13: 11-12 (KJV)
“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.”
I encourage you brethren to stay in the presence of the one who provides the light; the truth is, we cannot get it anywhere else but Him. Relish and dance in the light.
God Bless.
