Greetings cyber world! What a glorious day the Lord has made. Today I want to emphasize on just how much the Lord loves those who fear Him. Now the bible says in Psalm 111:10 (NIV) that:
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise.”
So why should we fear the Lord? I found myself in the beautiful book of Psalms this morning, and Psalm 115 stood out to me, especially this part:
Psalm 115: 11 – 13 (KJV)
“Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield. The Lord hath been mindful of us; he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.”
So these verses proclaim that we should fear the Lord because it is a wise thing to do; and will bring good understanding. It also says here that for those who fear the Lord, the Lord is mindful of us and will bless us! As if that’s not amazing enough, furthermore, the Lord helps and protects those who fear Him! Do you understand that the God of the universe is mindful of You? Both small and great people encompasses people of all walks of life; differing ages, nationalities, sizes and social statuses. This includes you! We need to always hold God in reverence and fear Him because he is constantly on the side of those that love and fear Him. All the glory and praise belongs to Him! No one on earth has the level of capacity to love and care for you as much as God does. He sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for the remission of our sins so we can be free! If that’s not worthy of all the praise and glory than nothing is!
In conclusion; this type of fear is actually beneficial to us!
Fear the Lord and serve Him alone; and He will offer you help, protection, wisdom, understanding, blessings and more.
Hallelujah our God is so good to us, for it is His joy to bless us. Remember this as you go through your week and have a blessed one!
